Absolutely love this setup! The quality, heavy-duty aluminum frame, smooth towing even with a big performance boat, and it looks amazing. The trailer fits my boat perfectly and feels solid on the road. Highly recommend Mayhem Trailers if you want something built right and built to last!
This review conflicts me so much, let’s start with the good, I bought a tandem axle aluminum boat trailer. I did a lot of research and these trailers are quite amazing and in my humble opinion some of the best out there. I am mostly happy with my purchase..Now the bad. My wife and I delt with a guy named Chris for all of the purchasing of the boat. I am amazed this company is still in business based on his customer service and phone maners, when you call he says hello… When I ask if it’s Mayhem says yeah what’s up? (Helpful suggestion answering the phone, hello Mayhem trailers Chris speaking. Simple and effective! I believe they sold me a trailer that a little too big. Making it quite the challenge to fit my boat to it, again with no help from Chris. He asked me to send him pictures. He told me a few things that he thought were wrong, that I had already tried and when I told him I had no room for suggested adjustment. He said OK. And that’s the end of our conversation to this point! When I made a comment to the guys at the shop about Chris’s customer service skills they said you gotta understand, he’s very busy. He sold over 300 trailers this year! my opinion he would’ve sold 600. If he wasn’t such a jerk I would’ve upgraded so many things, wheels, spare tire mount spare tire but he didn’t even give us the option at the time of purchase. When we asked when it was gonna be ready after being told, it would be ready quickly he created quite the attitude towards my wife and I saying “listen I want it gone as much as you do! (I’ve since found out he’s an owner! ?) right down to the day of pick up he was combative mispricing and not discounting for trade in, “ forgot we paid a deposit” when and how to tax, and all of that. Hes just downright ignorant and arrogant hats off to the guys at the shop. Lucas and Rob absolutely smashed it. answering all questions, kindly and patiently. I would love for someone other than Chris to reach out to try to resolve my fitment issues but I’m not holding my breath.
Amazing experience with Mahem Trailers. They stayed long after hours for us and we highly recommend this family owned company! Great people & customer service deserved above a 5 star.
ordered a 16' flatbed took about twice as long as quoted (no biggie) arrived to pick it up guy up front was nice talked through everything definitely knowledgeable kind of weird you have to license it yourself but again no big deal somewhat chaotic . the trailer itself well built structurally a tows great and has decent 3500lbs dexter axles, whats not so great is the paint mine was freshly painted thrown on a truck and scuffed in quite a few places and you can tell its going to need to be repainted fast if it sees any sort of wintery weather, the lighting and wiring if you arent particular its fine its legal it works. its a TON of quick taps which are prone to failure ill be upgrading connectors and lighting itself. so overall i am satisfied but just know that they are the lowest priced new trailers around for a reason. its not that theyre bad its just they are not premium.
Deceptive bait n switch Sales, buyer beware. I specified the exact trailer I needed via email (with screenshot from their website) and phonecall. Sales confirmed it was in stock and took my deposit. Two weeks later I drove 4 hours to pick it up and they didn't have it. Only option was an upsell to a larger model.
I bought a 3.1/2 ton dump trailer, initial thoughts on the trailer, was it was great, on towing it home from Brampton, the pump lid bolts fell out, only the front clasp held it on, the brakes didn’t work, I also paid extra for the tarp kit, it was fastened on by 3 small self tapers, the tarp was just rolled up on the bar, not fastened, the winder for the tarp was starting to slide out of the trailer as it was just slid in the tube that holds it, the grease fittings appeared to be freshly greased, but I decided to re-grease the pivot points anyway, and found that grease was put on the nipples, to make it appear everything was done, when in actual fact, nothing was greased, I used an entire tube, very poor assembly done by the facility I picked it up from, I gave 3 stars cause the lights all work, it tows nice, and the dump box works as it should, if you’re not a handy person, I’d buy elsewhere Edit: I was dealing with the son, the owner did call after my review and apologized for the poor look over of the trailer prior to delivering to me, the son is just arrogant and would rather focus his attention elsewhere than on this business, I updated to 4 stars, as the trailer does work really well, and overall I’m extremely happy with it, once I addressed the issues, I’d recommend buying their trailers, just make sure you deal with the actual owner!
